After amalgamation, he was transferred to Scarborough, and subsequently to City Hall, where he became Director of Community Planning for the South District. He was promoted to Chief Planner following the retirement of Paul Bedford. Losing his battle with cancer, Ted passed away peacefully on February 16 at the age of 54.
