 Thursday, Sept. 4th from 5pm to 8pm, a Heritage Fair will take place at Montgomery's Inn. In conjunction with the Inn's annual Corn Roast, Heritage Groups from the EtobicokeYork area will be displaying their various collections and activities.  Montgomery's Inn is at the corner of Dundas Street West and Islington Avenue.

 Friday Sept. 5 at Sharon Temple, a Gala Evening and illumination Following the practice of the Children of Peace, the York Pioneer & Historical Association recreate The Illumination in the First Friday night of September every year.  It is an unique evening of candlelit spendour, music, readings and ceremony, followed by light refreshments including the traditional Feast cake.  Sat. Sept 13 at 1pm- Montgomery's Inn is holding an Apple-icious in partnership with the Culinary Historians of Ontario and Seeds of Diversity. Montgomery\s Inn once stood in an Apple orchard and though a few of these trees remain, you can taste many of the varieties common in the mid-nineteenth century at this tasting events.  $11.42 plus GST gets you an apple dessert, tutored tasting and tour of the Inn. 4709 Dundas St. West

 Fri., Sept.20th 7:30 to 10pm at Fort York -Dance & Dance-ability Learnhow to dance Jane Austin style.  Everyone is welcome to try some English Country dancing.  Neither experience norpartners are necessary.  Refreshments will be served.  Pre-registration is required.  $9.43 per person 416-392-6907

 Sunday, Sept 21st from noon to 4pm a Harvest Festival at Todmorden Mills Heritage Museum.  Celebrate the harvest season in the valley!  Costumed interpreters, musicians, storytellers, historic cooking demonstrations and tastings, artisans, food vendors and more!  Wed. Oct 2 at 7:00pm -The Governor Simcoe Branch of the UEL are holding their meeting with speaker Jean Baxter speaking on "Facts BehindFiction".  The monthly meetings are held at St. David's Church, 49 Donlands Ave at the Danforth

 Saturday, Oct 4 from 9:00am to 6:00pm, The Annual Bus Tour of the York Pioneer and Historical Society:  Sign up for the anothergreat bus trip!  Stops on the tour will include King City, Schomberg and Kettleby.  Pick up point: Pleasant Blvd (Yonge and St. Claire).  Please call Diane for more information - 416-483-0907.
