PRESIDENT’S REMARKS – Communication is priceless! The THA has sent out 13 newsletters so far this year, made up of Heritage news and members events. Is this information getting conveniently to your group? Being mostly by email, we can send it to more than one representative. Please confirm all is well or any problems at your end by contacting THA’s membership person, Molly Sutherland at

THA WILL BE HOLDING a Fall workshop on Sat. Nov. 15 from 10am to 2pm at the Riverdale Library, on the corner of Gerrard and Broadview. The speakers will be a representative of the Insurance Company, an expert on the Web, and a Panel on Advocacy. More details in THA’s next newsletter. Save that day. It will be worth while!
THA INSURANCE – Just a quick reminder that the THA has the new insurance Programne up and running. Any member group in good standing may access this coverage for a public event requiring “proof of insurance”. We do need some lead time to process the registration, however. Forms may be requested/obtained from the Treasurer, Paul Federico(call 905-457-9450 or 905-866-2835) and returned prior to the THA Executive meeting scheduled before your event. THA Executive meets the 1st Monday of each month. Groups may also file forms covering regularly scheduled public events, if the dates are known for a given time period. Call for particulars and exemptions.
Party Time - The THA is now 10 years old, and we thought a celebration of all the hard work done by the member groups over that period should be acknowledged. We would like to schedule a dinner/party for the Spring of 2009 and need your input. Suggestions? Type of Event and any other planning info. We would like a response from the groups as to worth of such an event? The type, etc..., and, more importantly, volunteers to sit on a planning committee to make this a successful reality, if the membership wishes to proceed. Will you say Yes and Help? Please volunteer your expertise. Contact Paul Federico or the THA Board for information and sit on the Committee.
