Many volunteers ensured another successful season at Scadding Cabin. Thank you to all who opened the cabin in May, staffed it during the many days we were open, and closed it on October 31. More than 5000 people visited the cabin in 2009.

I have an information package which includes a letter of introduction, the interview questions and a consent form. If you think that any members of the Toronto Historical Association would be interested in participating, could you please either forward them my contact information or let me know? St. James Cathedral

CHANGE OF SCENE FOR THE ANNUAL CRÈCHE DISPLAY AT ST. JAMES CATHEDRAL

As the Parish House is undergoing renovations, St. James is setting up two mini exhibitions this year. The first will be in the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall, Saturday and Sunday, December 5th and 6th from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.

This will form part of the annual exhibition "Christmas Customs From Around The World", sponsored by the Community Folk Arts Council of Metropolitan Toronto. As well as crèches, there will be displays of foods, decorations and costumes reflecting the diversity of cultures within the city. As well, there will be added entertainment in the Rotunda; while outside there will be celebrations in concert with the Cavalcade of Lights.

This promises to be a very special weekend and everyone is welcome.

The second mini exhibition will be in the Cathedral itself in one of the side aisles on Saturday and Sunday, December 19th and 20th from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and between the various services on the Sunday. There is an afternoon concert in the cathedral at 4:00 pm every Saturday and on this Sunday there will be a Choral Evensong at 4:30 pm as it is the fourth Sunday of Advent.
